Issues List

This page is one of the central location of the application. Here you'll be able to sort, filter and select issues based on your criterias.

  • Project manager use this section to sort and priorize issues during project planning.
  • Developper use this section to keep track of issues assigned to them.
  • Quality assurance members will use this section to keep track of issues they need to review.

The paging system has been built to maximize your efficiency:

  • You can move from page to page without changing your mouse location.
  • You can quickly slide large page range or jump to a specific page.

Issue details

When working on issue, this page will be one of the most used one. Here you'll see all details regarding the issue:

  • Issue properties (Type, Priority, Affected components, Affected releases, Versions where the issue will be fixed, Reporter, Developper, Current workflow status, When issue has been created & last updated...)
  • Attachments
  • Comments
  • Links with other issues
  • Complete history

Based on your permissions you'll be able to edit the issue, add attachment, comment, links and trigger workflow transitions.

Each action is available sing keyboard shortcuts to maximize your efficiency:

  • Alt+N: Move to next issue
  • Alt+P: Move to previous issue
  • Alt+I: Move to issue list
  • Alt+A: Add a new issue
  • Alt+E: Edit this issue
  • Alt+C: Add a new comment
  • ...

Attachments

Each issue can have an unlimited number of attachments. Each attachment is displayed using a preview:

  • Automatic thumbnails are created for visual attachments
  • Syntax highlignting is added for PHP documents
  • Text documents are displayed using preformated text

You can easily add your personal attachment previewer if you use specific attachments kind in your company.

Nested comments

Each issue can have unlimited number of comments. Comments inside an issue can be threaded to offer forum like exchanges like in the screenshot.

Allowed user can also edit comments or delete them. Useful for semi-public system for example.

Links between issues

Often an issue is not alone, it is related to or is part of another issue. wIT allow you to create links between issues to track this relationships and improve navigation inside your information.
