This is a sample example of workflow that can be used inside wIT. This example is the one we use internally at WaterProof to manage the development of wIT and PHPEdit products.
Each issue type can be controled by a different workflow. This means that a bug and tasks can be controled using different workflows.
Workflow definition are created using XML and have build built with extensibility and flexibility in mind. This means that you can create all status and transitions that you need. You can also define actions that will be triggered when a transition is done. A standard set of actions are provided and you can extend them easily by providing your own to take full advantage of wIT inside your existing information system.
Permissions are controlled on a transition basis, so each transition can be available to only to a specific user or some specific roles. This allow powerfull validation process and collaboration work inside your team. Some examples:
RoadMap is automatically handled for you. It contains all issues attached to unreleased versions. It also include progress tracker by time and by tasks to allow better tracking. Using this tool, if your project take delay you know that quickly and can react very soon.
