WaterProof announces the immediate launch of PHPEdit Developer Network at www.phpedit.net , this new service is aimed at helping our leading product PHPEdit’s customers and users so that they can improve their skills, share experience, be rewarded for their contributions and be known as gurus. Our community is full of talented and experienced people; through this portal we want to give our community a place where they can share and access knownledge, and receive support from the community.

This portal is composed of the following axis:

• Tutorials: provides in-depth explanations of the IDE’s features, in the form of screencasts, guides and articles. You can now improve your knowledge and your command over PHPEdit and other useful PHPEdit tools.
• Tips: Lets you discover hidden or non-obvious features of the tool. You will increase your proficiency, and you will amaze your colleagues and your customers.
• Pasties : Provides a user-friendly environment for sharing code snippets on mailing lists or via instant messaging. It also provides some nice features such as syntax highlighting and line numbering.
• Code snippets: Lets you reuse code across projects, provides real-life examples for specific functions, and saves plenty of time

Because we value the contribution of our users and customers, a ranking system will identify and give points to the most active and relevant contributors.

Available to everybody, this portal will offer different features depending on your involvement:

• Our customers will have access to all contents, plus an exclusive access to the most recent tutorials for one month. That is, any tutorial published on the site will be available to registered customers only for one month.
• Registered users can contribute to all sections, vote for their favourite articles, take part to the discussions and leave comments
• Anonymous users can view any piece of information available on the web site. However they cannot interact with it, nor can they earn points.

Each month, the most valuable contributions will be rewarded.
