Sébastien Hordeaux

Sébastien created PHPEdit in 1999. Initially started as a personal project, PHPEdit has been largely adopted by the community asking more and more features and attention every day. On this road he met John, Bertrand and Daniel with who he founded WaterProof in 2004 to transform the personal project into a professional product.

Sébastien has spent 3 years in a french startup developing an innovative website generator where he was CTO. He is a graduate computer science engineer and continues his personal training on a regular basis to improve his skills.

John Knipper

John joined Sebastien to bring new features to PHPEdit while it was still a free product. He worked on PHPEdit from version 0.6 to 1.x. Besides that, John was a software architect specialized in .NET technologies for a well known French company. His true passion is about software ergonomics, usability and chocolate cakes ;)

After working some time on his own projects he decided to join the PHPEdit team again but at a full time position this time. The first version released by the new team will be version 2.6 and focuses on quality and stability.

Daniel Lucazeau

After creating his own computer services company a few times, 6 years ago, Daniel met Sébastien on the internet thanks to XMI to PHP. Some years later, he joined the crew to work on strategic and commercial aspects to share his knowledge and experience to enhance both WaterProof and his own company.

Bertrand Dunogier

Bertrand has joined the PHPEdit project back in 2001 when it was a free project led by Sebastien. He was looking for a replacement for his all-languages good old text editor, and PHPEdit was the perfect choice. He quickly got involved, and ended up implied in Quality Assurance, Translation and support. He has joined the ranks of eZ Systems France in 2006. He spends his free time coding, searching for infos, playing online games, reading and occasionaly snowboarding.

Bastien Hofmann

Bastien is autodidact in computer science since he is 15. He obtained a degree in computer science in Toulouse (France) after considering becoming a Math teacher.

After years of hesitations to choose a career, development of a media center software to watch his favorites tv shows and the corresponding website decided him to join the WaterProof crew in Nov. 2004, were he started to speed up PHPEdit development.

Jean Roussel

Jean joined the crew in April 2005 after his degree in computer science. He is the man behind wIT and handle most php development projects for customers inside the company.

He like working on multiple projects at once to discover more tools and methods days after day to use them on current and upcoming projects.
